Rotherham based manufacturer of mechanical seals, AESSEAL, has announced three new acquisitions designed to increase the global service offering, for products which remain almost wholly manufactured in Yorkshire. The firm completed the acquisition last month of Mechanical Seal and Service, MSS, located in Odessa Texas, USA and recently acquired an existing distributor in Norway, which has been renamed as AESSEAL Norway AS. AESSEAL also completed the acquisition of Standard Seals, the 6th largest Indian mechanical seal company, which when combined with the sales of AESSEAL India makes AESSEAL the 4th or 5th largest mechanical seal manufacturer in the fast growing Indian market place. The move will see the relocation of some Indian based system manufacturing to its Rotherham site on Mangham Road. AESSEAL now has operations in 69 locations with fully or majority owned subsidiaries in 31 countries and the three acquisitions will take group sales to more than £80 million a year.
