News: Drop me off in Rotherham

By

Rotherham United Football Club has announced a campaign to bring the club and supporters back to their home town. The club has initiated "Drop Me Off in Rotherham" - an ongoing plan to unite the club, local businesses and the Rotherham community with the aim of RUFC rising from the ashes of administration and, within 4 seasons, playing in a brand new stadium in Rotherham. The first chapter of the campaign will be a tie-in between RUFC and local rock band, The Tivoli. RUFC will be playing their debut single, "Drop Me Off in Rotherham", at all home matches until Christmas. The song will be released by Shiva Records as a digital download on December 15th and The Tivoli have agreed to donate 50% of their royalties to RUFC's Drop Me Off In Rotherham Campaign fund. The Tivoli will be playing a special live set at Don Valley Stadium on Saturday December 13th before Kick Off at the RUFC v Aldershot match.
