News: Success for Rotherham firm at Sheffield Business Awards

Rotherham company, Acorn Industrial Services Ltd is celebrating success at the Sheffield Business Awards. The Masbrough company picked up The Irwin Mitchell Excellence in Customer Service Award which recognises the company's outstanding levels of customer service and satisfaction in all aspects of sales and after care services. Acorn Industrial Services Ltd is a supplier of bearings and transmission products and represents market leading brands such as SKF and THK. Dinnington based construction specialists just missed out on the Manufacturing Award to DavyMarkham. The Sheffield Business Awards were hosted by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Nigel Tomlinson and the Editor of The Star, Alan Powell. Mr Powell told The Star: "There is little doubt that everyone here tonight recognises the tough economic times we are now in."But that should not stop us honouring the individuals and organisations who contribute to ensuring the city punches its weight and more." Des Spillings, Acorn's sales director said: "Acorn has always put great emphasis on customer service and it's wonderful to pick up an award for something Acorn is very passionate about - all credit goes to the Acorn team for their dedication to be the best."
