News: Dearne Valley College hosts business breakfast

By

Business Training at Dearne Valley College (DVC) is hosting a Business Breakfast on March 12. Taking place from 7.00am until 10.00am, local businesses will have the opportunity to find out how DVC Business Training at the Wath based college can take workforces to the next level with free or heavily subsidised training. The aim of the event is for the Business Training Team to provide information on training opportunities and funding streams available to local businesses and offer support through the tough economic climate. The event will allow participants to network and share experiences with other employers. The presentation of the TQS plaque will also take place. Dearne Valley College (DVC) achieved accreditation for the Training Quality Standard (TQS) which recognises the best organisations in the country for delivering training and development solutions to employers. The accreditation is the first college accreditation in South Yorkshire. Kaye Williams, DVC Business Development Manager commented: "The Business Breakfast is an ideal opportunity for local employers to find out what free training is available to them and their employees. During these difficult economic times there are still funding streams available for training which we would encourage businesses to take advantage of."
