News: Women's fashion retailer selects Rotherham

The women's fashion retailer, Internacionale, has selected Rotherham as the location for one of its new stores. The company handpicked 60 of the former 140 MK1 shops, which means that staff jobs have been saved and shoppers can continue to buy women and children's cutting edge fashion. Manager Mark Davison said: "When we heard that MK1 had gone into receivership we were all anxious and disappointed. I had worked for the company for more than 10 years and knew how hard it would be to find a similar role. "The fact that Internacionale selected Rotherham was a real boost for us all and a clear sign that company bosses had faith in us and recognised that we had been a successful MK1 shop, with loyal staff and customers. "As well as saving jobs, it has also created new ones and we are currently recruiting. I’m really excited about the forthcoming spring and summer collections and am confident that people will love what we have to offer."
