By

Fresh from picking up an export award from Medilink UK, Rotherham company, Inditherm has released their financial results for the 12 months ending December 31 2008. Financial highlights included a 7% lift in revenues to £1.983 million. Year end cash balance stood at £3.115 million (2007: £3.485 million). Pre-tax losses narrowed to £283,000 from £699,000 in 2007. Inditherm's energy efficient polymer technology is used in heating mattresses, pipework, sports pitches, storage vessels and medical treatments. Medical orders grew by 47% and Mark Abrahams, Chairman of Inditherm, said: "Growth of the medical sector, excluding the USA, remains encouraging, with increasing order flow. We anticipate the same rate of growth in this sector in the year ahead." A new direction for the construction business is also set to see a growth in sales with pre-cast concrete products starting to generate growing interest. The Chairman highlights that Inditherm will continue to invest in their staff and an operations manager and marketing manager have been appointed over the last year. Two new technological additions are also discussed with a novel insulation and cladding method attracting particular interest from some of the major food and confectionery businesses. Early reports suggest that the positive results lead to a rise in share price.
