Two Rotherham students have produced a report for CBBC Newsround about how they created their own greeting card company and made lots of money. 11 year-olds, Paige and Natasha discuss their roles in Corvina Chrissix Cards, where their class designed, produced, marketed and sold their own greetings cards. They identify the skills such as confidence and communication learnt through new activities like deciding on a company name and designing a company logo. The girls said: "The whole project was sometimes challenging, but always fun and exciting and we managed to make an amazing profit of £188.50! "We were all determined to give our money to a good cause so we decided to give it to two charities. We also decided that £20 would go towards buying new games - we definitely deserved it!" The school are involved in the Rotherham Ready scheme who are hosting a Speed Networking session on April 2, where schools and businesses from across Rotherham will come face-to-face and share their ideas and thoughts on enterprise for the future in Rotherham.
