News: EMS energy consultancy rated as 5 star

EMS, the Rotherham based energy consultancy has been rated as "5 STAR" by Business Link East Midlands.


This accreditation means that SMEs in the East Midlands can access financial support from Business Link and The Manufacuring Advisory Service (MAS) East Midlands for energy saving assistance.

Access to similar funding in the Yorkshire and Humber region has been available for the last four years and has helped many companies to cut their energy costs significantly.

From MAS, the funding consists of up to 10 days assistance 50% funded (i.e. the fee rate to you £300 per day) and for any subsequent 20 days 25% funded (i.e. fee rate to you £450 per day) for manufacturing SMEs.

EMS help businesses identify and improve their energy-consuming processes from conducting energy surveys, supporting Climate Change Levy rebate applications to obtaining grants.

Managing director, Dr Alex Mardapittas said: "One of the most rewarding parts of doing what we do is that businesses follow our recommendations and by doing so, they have achieved the savings. The important factor is that people are now appreciating energy and how important it is."
