News: Proposed Maltby Academy website
u-xplore, the Rotherham education company and potential lead sponsors has launched a website for the proposed Maltby Academy.
Andy Pickles, owner and chief executive of u-xplore Limited said: "I am tremendously excited but equally challenged about the opportunity of working in partnership with the Maltby community, the local authority, the staff at Maltby Community School, Sheffield Hallam University and most importantly the young people across the family of Maltby schools. Together, I believe we could bring about an exciting forward-thinking change to how young people in Maltby would be able to access their learning in the future."
Plans are progressing and the first steering group meeting took place last week. As part of the plans the company are planning to set up a diary room at the schools to get the pupils views of the future.
