News: Rotherham dentist pulls out £2,000 for charity

By

The owner of A2 Dental Surgery in Rotherham has donated £2,000 to The Children's Hospital Charity to celebrate the surgery's first birthday.

Ritesh Aggarwal, aged 32, from Lodge Moor in Sheffield, decided that he wanted to do something special to mark his first year in business and thought a charity donation would be the perfect gesture.

Ritesh, who opened his NHS dentist practice in the town centre in August 2008, has supported the charity in the past by taking part in charity golf days and buying a corporate snowflake, which was displayed at The Children's Hospital in Sheffield.

He said: "We are so lucky to have a children's hospital on our doorstep with such an excellent reputation. The staff at the hospital and the charity do a brilliant job and I wanted to acknowledge this with my donation.

"I also wanted to donate to a charity that supports children and families from Rotherham, as this is where my business is based and I wanted to give something back to the local community."
