News: U-Explore at BETT 2010
Rotherham education specialists, U-Explore will showcase their innovative products later this month at the BETT (British Education and Training Technology) Show in London.
Dedicated to showcasing the best in UK and international educational technology products, resources and best practice, it has enabled thousands of practitioners to enhance their knowledge of learning through technology.
The Templeborough company will highlight the exciting changes to their U-Explore national school product, an innovative software solution which engages with young people through cutting edge media.
New features include jobcasts that feature footage of professionals performing their duties and responsibilities as well as a detailed interview about their job role.
A special 360 degree tour is also new and contains hotspots that detail potential health and safety hazards, regulations and the control measures required.
January also sees the launch of the Edexcel accredited training programme which will allow teaching professionals to develop their skills and understanding of the use of digital media through the use of the U-Explore platform.
U-Explore has also increased investment in the development of resources to support foundation learning and has begun a nine month development and consultation to enable them to create a version of U-Explore for children with learning difficulties and special educational needs.
U-Explore is reaching an increasing amount of schools through partnerships with over 30 local authorities, enabling them to form some very exciting collaborations with some of the biggest business names and brands that recognise the impact they can have by making their business accessible via U-Explore.
Agreements are now in place with the Institute of Education Business Excellence (IEBE) and Business in the Community (BITC), who now site U-Explore as their technology partner enabling them to create a far greater level of content for schools and colleges.
The company is set to make announcements shortly about new collaborations which will enable young people to explore and involve themselves with some incredible businesses.
On top of all that, at the start of January, U-Explore opened the doors to their first Academy as lead sponsor. Maltby Academy is a specialist business and enterprise school in Rotherham with an intake of upwards of 1200 students including sixth form.
