News: Connexion2 continues to grow

By

Due to increasing demand for its expanding range of award-winning lone worker products and services, Connexion2 has almost doubled its workforce in the past six months.

The company uses innovative technology solutions and associated services to improve the safety and productivity of lone workers.

Connexion2 was originally launched in 2004, has grown from 14 members of staff to a workforce of 27 at their offices in Dinnington, Rotherham.

Amongst the new employees, are six recently appointed managers who have been selected to help drive the company forward to its next stage of development. They include Tim Collin, Sales & Marketing Director, Alison Copsey, Channel Development Manager; Mark Dixon, Training & Services Manager; Katrina Wilkinson, Customer Services Manager; Lorraine Hughes, New Business Development Manager and Rob Harris, Marketing Manager. The new managers will work closely with Managing Director, Craig Swallow and SoloProtect Services Director, Ann de Vere.

Last year saw the signing of a contract between Reliance and the NHS Business Services Authority which will see 30,000 lone worker personnel issued with the Identicom alarm.

Deliberately designed to look and feel like a normal ID cardholder, the system allows lone workers to raise an alarm, make an emergency phone call or send a text message. New products are set to be unveiled that incorporate GPS technology.

Commenting on the expansion, Craig Swallow said: "Despite the economy being in recession, 2009 was a growth year for Connexion2. We expect our headcount will continue to grow to meet the increasing demand for our products and services."
