News: Showcase for Rotherham's young entrepreneurs

By

Rotherham's young entrepreneurs are set to showcase their fledgling businesses at a special event next week.

The event, arranged by the Rotherham Enterprise Project, which is funded by the European Development Fund, to help people with business ideas turn their ideas into reality, will see young people exhibiting their businesses to their peers.

Jackie Frost, Manager of Rotherham Youth Enterprise, one of the delivery partners of the Rotherham Enterprise Project, said: "This will be a fantastic opportunity for young people with aspirations of running their own business to come along and find out more from people we've helped.

"We ran a similar event last year which saw thirteen businesses exhibit to more than 50 business people.

"A speed networking session maximised the impact of attending and ensured that everyone got a chance to raise awareness of their business.

The aim of the event is to help young business people raise their profile within the local area, get them networking with each other and give them some experience of exhibiting in front of a friendly audience.

The event runs from 12.30pm until 3pm on June 15 and will take place at the Brinsworth Training Centre. To book a place please email darren.mcdool@rotherham.gov.uk
