News: U-Explore partners with SkillsActive

By

Rotherham education specialists, U-Explore is joining forces with SkillsActive, the Sector Skills Council for Active Leisure, Learning and Well-being.

The new partnership will enable both organisations to provide the leading careers and advice platform for the active leisure, learning and well-being sector.

Working with SkillsActive will help to ensure that the industry sector content available on U-Explore is accurate, representative and of the highest quality possible. The partnership will also support SkillsActive in ensuring that it delivers a high standard careers offer for the sector to a far reaching audience.

U-Explore specialises in enabling schools to deliver reality based careers information, advice and guidance. Their U-Explore national school product is an innovative software solution which engages with young people through cutting edge media.

Andy Pickles, CEO of U-Explore, said: "Our objective from the beginning was to work with sector partners to give young people the most exciting and relevant experience of each and every industry sector.

"The reality was that first of all, we had to establish U-Explore, build our network of schools and position ourselves as a major force acting as a bridge between business and education.

"With these objectives firmly established the time is now right for us to seek industry sector partners to strengthen our offer and further support young people and adults alike with regard to jobs, training, opportunities and ultimately knowledge of a sector.

"I am very proud that our first such partnership is with SkillsActive who will now work with us to develop the content and links to their sector partners in sport, active leisure, caravanning and playwork as well as adopting the U-Explore platform to deliver a careers solution for their sector.

"As a sector skills council they are the most credible partner for us to work with and we will now proactively look to build on this with further sector skills partnerships."
