News: Fripp Design and Research launch PalletSign
Innovative Rotherham company, Fripp Design and Research, has launched the first of its own products - PalletSign, a point of sale display sytems for pallets.
Based on the Advanced Manufacturing Park, Fripp Design and Research's team have years of experience in all areas of product design and industrial design and are able to apply their knowledge to any stage of a product development, from blue sky concept right down to the fine details of complex highly engineered products.
The idea for PalletSign came whilst visiting B&Q researching a DIY product for another client. The designer recognised how PalletSign would solve two problems for retailers and manufacturers by creating the opportunity to use pallets to help sell products, as well as the opportunity to improve the in store experience for customers.
Developed with the help of the world's largest pallet management company, CHEP, PalletSign can be retro-fitted to any pallet, representing a new opportunity for marketing products sold off pallets.
Steve Roberts, director at Fripp Design and Research said: "Many retailers use pallets to display fast moving goods to save time and avoid the risk of damaging them. We recognised that the problem with pallets is that they can look unsightly in-store and product packaging is not always designed to sell the benefits of the individual products for sale.
"Pallet Sign hides pallets from view, as well as providing retailers and manufacturers with a vital POS sales tool to help them promote products to customers."
As well as looking for distributers for PaelletSign, the gast-growing company are looking to buy a manufacturing business with the skills and knowledge to add their products into their existing product portfolio.
The new system is being launched this week at the In Store exhibition at London's Olympia.
