News: Park Inn sponsors DVC kit
Park Inn Hotel, Rotherham has sponsored the football kit of the men's Academy Team from Dearne Valley College (DVC).
The 130-room Radisson Park Inn has opened at the 285-acre Waterfront development in Manvers last year.
Jon Broadhurst, General Manager at the hotel said: "We are delighted to be this year's sponsors of the DVC men's Academy Football team. We have a great relationship with the college on many different levels and are really pleased to be putting something back into the community in this way."
The team trains twice a week and plays other college teams from the Midlands and North East.
Students enrol onto a variety of sports courses at DVC where they gain vocationally relevant skills to further their interest in a career in sport. They must then pass a rigorous selection process and attend training on a weekly basis.
Andrew Skiffington, DVC Sport and Physical Recreation Tutor added: "On behalf of the college I would like to thank the Park Inn Hotel for sponsoring the football kit of our men's Academy Team. Let's hope we have a successful season and bring home some silverware."
