News: Stafforce acquires Action 4 Business

By

Rotherham-based Stafforce Recruitment has announced the acquisition of Action 4 Business, a Barnsley-based company that delivers training and specialist business consultancy services.

The acquisition closely follows Stafforce Recruitment's recent announcement that owner and local entrepreneur Nick Cragg had sold a 15% stake in the business to its management team.

The move is inline with the company's growth strategy, which is to be achieved partly through the purchase of smaller recruitment businesses and specialist providers to strengthen their position in the recruitment market.

Stafforce Recruitment has been operating in the recruitment industry for 33 years and the business now has over 20 sites across the UK. The company has been on the leading edge of the recruitment market, developing a new model and approach to working with employers.

Ian Anderson, chief executive at Stafforce Recruitment, said: "We are delighted to welcome Action 4 Business into the Stafforce business. Action 4 Business has been working with us for some time as strategic partners to deliver business improvement training and this acquisition will enable Stafforce to offer lean manufacturing services and a broader managed service to its client base.

"This purchase is aligned with our plans for strategic growth and we continue to open up discussions with other smaller recruitment businesses with a view to future similar acquisitions."
