News: Nabarro to sponsor Global Manufacturing Festival: Sheffield
The Global Manufacturing Festival: Sheffield has announced commercial law firm Nabarro as a headline sponsor. The festival, which will take place in the Sheffield region between Monday March 14 2011 and Friday March 18 2011, will reaffirm the UK's position as a global leader in advanced engineering and manufacturing innovation.
With manufacturing taking a lead on the national agenda, particularly in terms of skills and employment, the Global Manufacturing Festival: Sheffield will also inspire the next generation of engineering talent and bridge the gap between innovation and commercial success by bringing education and business closer together.
Nabarro partner Martin McKervey said: "Nabarro plays a central role in the region's manufacturing sector, securing contracts for manufacturers and helping them expand into fresh markets, so it is natural for the firm to be headline sponsor of the Festival.
"As manufacturers re-position themselves in the global supply chain and secure new funds to take them forward, Nabarro is involved each step of the way in manufacturing, procurement and investment. We are proud to help the Festival take the key messages about the region's manufacturing expertise and technological capability to a global audience."
The festival is being led by Square 5 Ltd in partnership with Creativesheffield and Business & Education South Yorkshire, and will comprise of a series of focused events, workshops, exhibitions and conferences with leading representatives from the world of manufacturing, politics and education.
Emma Tiernan, Director at Square 5 Ltd., added: "We are delighted that Nabarro will be a headline sponsor of the Global Manufacturing Festival: Sheffield. Businesses within the Sheffield region clearly understand the need to help celebrate and promote the manufacturing industry nationally and internationally. It is great news that Nabarro, one of the country's leading law firms, will be contributing towards this objective and allowing the festival to become a significant fixture on the UK's 2011 events calendar.
"We will invite businesses and individuals from around the world who are involved in this global sector to descend on Sheffield region in March 2011 in order to make new contacts, identify new opportunities and discuss common issues such as the impact of the recession and best practice etc."
