News: Inditherm appoints medical distributor in Thailand

By

Rotherham's Inditherm has signed an agreement for the distribution of their innovative medical products in Thailand with A.P. Innovation Products Ltd.

Inditherm products use their patented, low voltage carbon polymer technology to provide heat and unlike other forms of heating, there are no hot spots. This technology is used in niche medical products which include the CosyTherm neonatal range and their systems can warm patients during surgery at the same running cost as a light-bulb.

The Thailand deal follows similar agreements signed last year with distributors covering Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iran and Hungary. The firm are optimistic of more deals after an impressive showing at Medica 2010 in November, the largest medical exhibition in the world, where Inditherm were approached by over 50 new overseas companies.

Inditherm will also be participating at the Arab Health exhibition at the end of January.

Inditherm Chief Executive, Nick Bettles, said: "We are constantly seeking to fill any gaps in our distribution network, so we are happy to have found a partner in Thailand. Inditherm now has distributors in over 50 countries, giving us a broad base for our medical business."

As part of a move to focus on the growth of their medical business, the Manvers firm signed an agreement in December that will see ADI promote heating solutions to the food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals markets.
