News: Inditherm Medical exhibit at Arab Health 2011

By

Rotherham-based Inditherm recently exhibited their full medical product range to more than 60,000 healthcare professionals and distributors at Arab Health in Dubai.

Inditherm products use low voltage carbon polymer technology to provide heat and unlike other forms of heating, there are no hot spots.

The technology is used in niche medical products which include the CosyTherm neonatal range, a system which provides an enhanced care environment for newborn infants, as a step-down from an incubator, or an alternative to an incubator where only warming is required.

Proving to be another successful show for the Manvers company, meetings and discussions were held with a number of potential new distributors for areas where they do not already have partners. Feedback from existing distributors in the region was positive both in respect of product performance and market prospects and opportunities for the year ahead.

Commenting after the show, Nick Bettles, Inditherm's CEO, said: "This positive outlook in the Middle East is encouraging for Inditherm and indicates that further growth can be achieved in the region during 2011. We believe that we are building good relationships with partners who appear strong in their markets."

It is estimated that the Middle East's healthcare sector is worth $74bn, and is growing at a rate of 16% annually - making it a key market for regional healthcare companies to target.

Charlotte Fraser, International Manager at Medilink Y&H, regional sector specialist for UKTI, and organiser the Yorkshire Pavilion at the show, said: "The UK enjoys an excellent trading relationship with countries across the Middle East, with sustained investment in health delivery reforms leading to the demand for the latest technologies and medicines."
