News: Partnership boost for Rotherham apprentices

By

Two Rotherham training providers, Brinsworth Academy of Engineering and Rotherham College of Arts and Technology (RCAT), have joined forces to offer technical certificate training opportunities for future apprentices.

Leading engineering and manufacturing training provider, Brinsworth Training in Templeborough, will re-open its doors in the New Year as the "Brinsworth Academy of Engineering."

Apprentices now have the support from both organisations, as those signed up to an apprenticeship at Brinsworth Academy of Engineering will also have the input from the tutors that deliver the BTEC and City and Guilds technical certificates.

Stephen Casey, head of business improvement at RCAT, said: "It's fantastic news that Brinsworth Training have decided to work with us for a further two years and I'm looking forward to developing the relationship further to enhance our offerings to the wider business community."

The partnership will be running for the next two years which means double the amount of knowledge and experience on offer.

Paul Reeves, business development director at Brinsworth Academy of Engineering, said: "Rotherham College have provided us with excellent service for a number of years and we are delighted to have been able to extend this partnership for a further two years."
