News: S2S Group achieves record growth, surpassing £5m turnover milestone

The Rotherham-based S2S Group has reported a record year, achieving £5.6m turnover for the year ending December 2025, reflecting our continued year-on-year growth.

S2S Group at Manvers is one of the leading players in electronics manufacturing, asset recovery and electronics recycling, specialising in the disposal and management of IT assets at the end of their lifecycle, offering a certified and eco-friendly IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) service.

The performance marks another period of strong expansion for us, supported by a £500,000 investment from Bailie Group to accelerate growth.

The funding has enabled the group to strengthen its operational capability, including the addition of a new 18-tonne truck, enhancing its nationwide on-site data destruction service offering.

S2S Group’s workforce has also grown, with seven new employees joining in 2025, bringing the total headcount to 42. The team comprises nine IT technicians whose specialist capabilities ensure data security and asset recovery through secure processing, testing, sanitisation and refurbishment.

Last year, S2S also expanded iys European presence through a joint venture with Irish data destruction specialist All-Star Shredding, strengthening cross-border capability and reinforcing the focus on compliance, security and service resilience.

The group processed more than 50,000 IT assets for recycling in 2025 and securely destroyed over 380,000 data-bearing devices. A 51.4% reuse rate was achieved through the refurbishment and redeployment of more than 28,000 IT assets back to customers. In addition, 78% of internal waste was recycled, with zero waste sent directly to landfill.

The Rotherham-based S2S Group has received a £500k injection from investment firm Bailie Group.

S2S Group at Manvers is one of the leading players in electronics manufacturing, asset recovery and electronics recycling, specialising in the disposal and management of IT assets at the end of their lifecycle, offering a certified and eco-friendly IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) service.

The Baillie Group, a family-owned group of agencies and consultancies, invests in ideas, people, and properties with the goal of making a positive impact. It has offices in Leeds and Antrim.

The £500k deal sees Baillie Group acquire a 25% stake in S2S and is set to accelerate growth ambitions and develop S2S Group's market share in the defence sector, focusing on key target contracts.

The move builds on a recognition for a strong commitment to sustainable and secure recycling and reuse of end-of-life IT equipment, supporting clients across the defence, finance and education sectors. Significant growth in the last five years has included the acquisition of operations in London and Glasgow in 2023.

The investment from Bailie Group, which owns a portfolio of communications agencies and consultancies, is set enable S2S to accelerate its aims of achieving 21% growth this year, taking annual revenue to £5.8m.

Rotherham-based data destruction and WEEE recycling solutions company, S2S, has brought London-based Data Eliminate, into its group.

S2S Group at Manvers is one of the leading players in electronics manufacturing, asset recovery and electronics recycling, specialising in the disposal and management of IT assets at the end of their lifecycle, offering a certified and eco-friendly IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) service.

As part of ambitious expansion plans, Data Eliminate, the data destruction specialists from Fleet Street, has joined forces to enhance the service offering in the London area and increase the group's secure Data Destruction capacity.

Just last month, S2S secured a £975,000 funding package from NatWest to enable the purchase of its current premises, which it had previously leased, on Farfield Industrial Park.

News: Rotherham businesses raising money for charity

Rotherham-based data destruction and WEEE recycling solutions company, S2S Group is one of a number of teams from the local business sector donning ridiculous outfits to compete in a "It's a Knockout" charity event in aid of Bluebell Wood.

The event is taking place at Dinnington Rugby Club this weekend and is set to be full of fun and games. The S2S squad, which includes a cross section of employees, from directors and members of the operations team and warehouse staff, will be scaling giant inflatables and batting mountains of foam all in a good cause.

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice is based in North Anston and offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at our hospice itself. The hospice costs approximately three million pounds every year to offer this essential support and with less than 10% statutory government funding, the hospice relies heavily on the support of donations from events like the It's a Knockout event.

Emma Moorhouse, marketing executive at S2S said: "It's going to be a lot of fun but most importantly we want to lend our support to Bluebell Wood. The work that they do to support children and young adults with a shortened life expectancy is inspiring and anything we can do to help is a bonus. Members of staff from both the Doncaster and Rotherham offices of law firm, Malcolm C Foy & Co recently participated in Sandal Beat Wood 10k race to raise money for charity. The chosen charity was the Child Brain Injury Trust, who provide support for children, and their families, who have acquired a brain injury. The charity was nominated by Dan Carr who has previously worked closely with the charity through his personal injury work and all the staff agreed it was a worthwhile cause.

All the hard work training for the race and collecting donations paid off as all 14 members of staff finished the race in commendable times and a total of £2,200 was raised for the great charity. Dan Carr, the oldest member of staff racing, has been picked out for special praise as he managed to hold off competition to finish first of the MCF racers, as has Donna Moore, for raising £630.

Rotherham-based IT entrepreneur Colin O'Donnell, who runs Mozit IT in Parkgate, successfully completed the "Banger Rally Adventure," crossing Europe in a car that cost just £300. Not only that, he and co-driver Richard Hessey from ASC Metals, a friend from university, made the long journey back to Rotherham!

The 1994 Toyota Celica, nicknamed "The Lizard King," set off from Belgium and took in Freiburg and then Lake Como, before ending in Monte Carlo - a five day rally across Europe covering 2,070 miles, crossing five countries.

The firm received generous support from businesses in Rotherham and Sheffield and is closing in on a £3,000 target for the local branch of the National Autistic Society (NAS).

Colin O'Donnell, managing director at Mozit IT, said: "We realised the true challenge was actually getting home with the car and this was the "winning."

"Some teams opted for the sensible idea of ditching the banger car and hopping onto a plane. That would have been too sensible for me and Rich. We were determined to bring The Lizard King home to Rotherham. Covering 900 miles in two days, it was one of the most gruelling tiring drives ever, but seeing the J33 M1 turn off brought a smile to my face.

"I cannot thank my clients, friends and family enough for the support."

News: S2S shred across Europe

S2S Group, one of the leading players in electronics manufacturing, asset recovery and electronics recycling, has recently returned from a successful shredding tour of mainland Europe.

Consolidating its sites in 2012, S2S is based at Manvers and specialises in data destruction, asset management and WEEE recycling. Parts of the group provide asset recovery, secure destruction and the recycling and refurbishing of old electronic equipment including computers and mobile phones. Other parts specialise in the design and manufacture of circuit boards and associated products for the rail and power generation industries.

Secure data destruction experts from S2S were entrusted by clients to take their mobile shredder and securely destroy a range of media devices (including hard drives and tapes) at sites across Europe. The team completed secure shredding jobs in Paris and Frankfurt before finally making a secure collection in Brussels.

"This is the third year we have held the accreditation and shows our commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety."

The accreditation should help to secure further contracts and as the public become increasingly aware of data protection and the WEEE recycling sector continues to grow, S2S Group has increased their team of recycling advisors to deal with the growing number of enquiries in to the business.

Sheridan Birks and Ryan Tubbs have been recruited to join the team at the Rotherham site as recycling advisors and have been quickly learning about the range of recycling and data destruction solutions offered by S2S Group.

News: S2S to expand presence with E-Waste

S2S Group, one of the leading players in electronics manufacturing, asset recovery and electronics recycling, has signed a deal with US-based electronic waste management firm, E-Waste Systems to collaborate on reverse logistics and expand the presence of both companies.

Consolidating its sites in 2012, S2S is based at Manvers and specialises in the design and manufacture of circuit boards and associated products for the rail and power generation industries. Other parts of the group provide asset recovery, secure destruction and the recycling and refurbishing of old electronic equipment including computers and mobile phones.

A Teaming Agreement and an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with the publicly-traded Cincinnati company which has an aggressive growth strategy to target the opportunities created by the soaring international demand for electric and electronic products that is in turn fueling a global rise in "e-waste" that could reach an estimated 65.4 million tons annually by 2017.

The waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) regulations are EU directives aimed at reducing the amount of waste electrical and electronic equipment that ends up in landfill. S2S is a third party provider that helps manufacturers and retailers in reverse logistics which can include reuse, recycling and documented disposal.

News: S2S take on two apprentices

S2S Group, one of the leading players in electronics manufacturing, asset recovery and electronics recycling, has taken on two new apprentices at its Rotherham site.

Consolidating its sites in 2012, S2S is based at Manvers and specialises in the design and manufacture of circuit boards and associated products for the rail and power generation industries. Other parts of the group provide asset recovery, secure destruction and the recycling and refurbishing of old electronic equipment including computers and mobile phones.

After giving a number 18-24 year olds the opportunity of work experience through the local job centre, Damien Adams and Stephen Wilson stood out as worthy of joining the growing S2S team and were offered the apprenticeships.

Over the next 18 months, Damien and Stephen will work towards an NVQ in warehousing while gaining valuable hands-on experience focusing on the WEEE and recycling modules of the qualification.

Alan Dukinfield, managing director at S2S, said: "We're sympathetic to the fact that young people often struggle to find suitable employment and need work experience on their CV's.

"The nature of our work and high security involved means that we have to ensure that the calibre of anyone we employ is extremely high. When Damien and Stephen came to us, both fitted in well with the company and were keen to progress so were offered the opportunity to stay and work for relevant qualifications through the apprenticeship scheme. News: S2S open new head office in Rotherham

The new 45,000 sq ft unit for S2S Electronics in Rotherham will be the electronics manufacturer's new head office following relocation from Sheffield to Manvers after consolidating with its Huddersfield branch.

With around four times the space the company previously had, it allows S2S Electronics to expand the manufacturing, secure storage and asset recovery business to meet customer demand. Over £100,000 has been invested in the new facility on Brookfields Park tailoring it to fit exactly with the company's requirements.

S2S Electronics is one of the leading players in electronics manufacturing, asset recovery and electronics recycling. The new unit will be used for the manufacture of circuit boards and associated products for the rail and power generation industries plus asset recovery, secure destruction and the recycling and refurbishing of old electronic equipment including computers and mobile phones.

Enhancements to security, fume extraction, compressed air, a new screen printer for the surface mount line and a new flow solder machine with automatic spray flux capability as well as refurbishing the reception and offices areas have all added to improve the facility.

The deal was confirmed last month and the company has taken a ten-year lease, brokered by the Sheffield office of Knight Frank, on a stepped rental on Unit B at Brookfields Park. S2S were represented by Iain McPhail of GVA.

The move to the Dearne Valley was supported by RiDO, Rotherham Investment and Development Office, and has meant bringing 40 existing jobs to the area initially. S2S Electronics are in the process of identifying new roles within the company through continued growth.

Alan Dukinfield, managing director at S2S said: "We envisage that our workforce will grow to around 50 in the coming months, Dearne Valley is such a vibrant area at the moment we feel that we can recruit and fill these positions from the local communities.

"These new premises has given us a new "shop window" for us to greet customers and actively demonstrate our commitment to investment and growth.

"Just by way of introduction to the area we already have an open day planned for the early summer where customers, suppliers and local business will be invited to see the new premises and get a feel for the services on offer.

"When considering consolidating our sites into one from our two previous locations and choosing the location for our head office it was absolutely essential to pick the right area and the right building to promote our business.

"Brookfields Park was the perfect fit, a vibrant area being quite central for most staff from both locations and in a prime industrial location in the Dearne Valley."

Tim O' Connell, from RiDO, said: "It's great to be bringing another successful Yorkshire company into Rotherham and helping boost the local jobs market yet again.

"S2S Electronics' were impressed by what they saw at Brookfields Park and felt it was the right location supported by a potential local workforce with the right skills to meet their needs and we were delighted to be able to help them re-locate here."

Rebecca Schofield, partner at Knight Frank, added: "Historically there has been a large amount of stock in the Dearne Valley. But as stock has depleted from the prime M1 corridor locations, there has been a reasonable level of take up in recent months. S2S join ABS and Gala Tent who have also recently moved to the area, acquiring 80,000 sq ft and 52,000 sq ft respectively.

"It remains a tenants' market and competitive terms are being offered to secure new businesses as a result."

News: S2S Electronics acquire new home in Rotherham

Electronics manufacturer, S2S Electronics has taken a 45,000 sq ft unit in Rotherham that will be home to around 50 staff and will allow the business to grow.

The deal for Unit B at Brookfield's Park in Manvers was completed by GVA, the UK's largest independent commercial property advisor.

Huddersfield's S2S Electronics is one of the leading players in electronics manufacturing, asset recovery and electronics recycling.

The new unit will be used for the manufacture of circuit boards and associated products plus the recycling and refurbishing of old electronic equipment including computers and mobile phones.

Iain McPhail, associate in GVA's Yorkshire industrial agency team, said: "We are delighted to have secured a new long term home for S2S, which will allow the business to grow for the foreseeable future.

"Through our expert knowledge of the local and regional industrial market, we identified a number of suitable options and successfully negotiated a new lease on favourable terms for our client."

Planning permission was secured last year to change the use of the building that was previously occupied by Scorpion Bathrooms.
