News: Industrial Personnel move to larger premises in Rotherham town centre

By

Recruitment agency, Industrial Personnel is enjoying rapid expansion and has moved to larger premises in Rotherham town centre.

The agency has taken a 15-year lease on a (1,985 sq.ft) office development at 12 The Crofts, just off Ship Hill, to accommodate its expanding workforce in a letting arranged by commercial property agents Burgess Commercial.

Previously occupied by the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber, the two-storey building was ideal for Industrial Personnel as it is situated in a professional area of the town centre, close to other businesses such as law firms, accountants and training companies.

Managing Director of Industrial Personnel Phil Buckley said: "We were keen to relocate to this part of Rotherham, and were delighted with the helpful, professional service we received from Burgess Commercial. We have signed a flexible lease which gives us the opportunity to move again at three-yearly intervals, just in case we outgrow this building as well!"

Neil Keally, Director of Burgess Commercial, added: "It's fantastic to hear about a local business success story and I am sure that The Crofts will provide the perfect location for future business growth for Industrial Personnel. We have helped a number of expanding businesses to move up to newer, larger premises recently and it is great to see the market starting to pick up."

Industrial Personnel supply temporary and permanent staff to the commercial, industrial, engineering and distribution sectors, as well as sourcing IT professionals and social care workers.

Phil Buckley added: "Despite the downturn in the economy, we have seen continuous growth over the past few years, which means we have been able to expand our team and create new jobs. I am confident that our new premises will give our business a further boost and we will be able to develop new opportunities with existing and new customers."

The 1,100 sq.ft of offices at Doncaster Gate vacated by Industrial Personnel has already been snapped up. The Nikki Lynam School of Performing Arts, who occupy space above has attracted so many pupils it will now take over the office space below.

News: Industrial Personnel Ltd break speed record

By

Rotherham recruitment agency, Industrial Personnel Ltd has entered the Digital Region and now have the UK's fastest broadband connection with a download speed of 66Mbps.

The connection was provided by Digital Exchange Ltd in partnership with DRBSY Ltd. It makes use of the revolutionary new South Yorkshire fibre optic network, a unique collaboration between Yorkshire Forward and the four local authorities in South Yorkshire.

Phillip Buckley, managing director of Industrial Personnel Ltd said: "Like most businesses we are heavily reliant upon the internet to operate. Whether it's email, accessing recruitment websites or online banking we need to have access at all times. We have been using a standard broadband connection for the past couple of years but we were only getting a speed of around 3Mb.

"Now we have a high speed internet connection that is not only cost effective, but will allow us to grow our business in ways we couldn't have before. We are already looking at the possibility of video interviewing candidates via Skype or Microsoft Messenger as a way of streamlining the recruitment process."

Neville Wilkinson, Technical Director of Digital Exchange said: "We have been rolling out DRBSY VDSL connections for a couple of months now with an average connection speed of 35Mbps.

"We always run a speed test in front of the client to demonstrate the dramatic increase in performance in comparison to their old connection. We were expecting a very quick connection with Industrial Personnel Ltd due to their proximity to the street cabinet. When we saw the test results, even we were a little surprised to see such high figures!

"This level of connectivity at this level of price is simply unmatched anywhere else in the UK, giving South Yorkshire businesses a real competitive advantage."

George Taylor, CEO DRBSY Ltd added: "This is an excellent illustration of the unique capability we have in South Yorkshire, DRBSY are extremely happy to confidently say we have the fastest broadband in the region!

"People are now starting to realise that this new ultra fast service is not a pipe dream, Digital Exchange are delivering living proof by bringing on new connections daily."

DRBSY Ltd secured 46,000 sq ft of colocation at the South Yorkshire data centre in Manvers as it signed up to be a provider for the Digital Region. The project is financed by European, regional, local and private investment of over £90 million, including £30 million from the European Regional Development Fund.
