News: Award for Rotherham's ASD Lighting

Lighting manufacturer ASD Lighting of Rotherham, has been recognised at The Yorkshire Productivity Awards 2008, held at the Leeds Met Hotel this week. The awards recognised the significant steps being taken by manufacturing companies to improve their efficiency and competitiveness and ASD collected the award in the Best Newcomer (small company) category. Alistair Gladstone, General Manager at Yorkshire Productivity, commented: “It is encouraging to see the growing number of manufacturing companies embracing training so wholeheartedly and achieving major benefits. Many are now taking the lessons learned from the shop floor and applying them to make efficiency gains in their offices.” ASD have invested £5m in recent years expanding their premises on Barbot Hall Industrial Estate, creating more space to improve efficiency by better control and planned production.
