News: Training boost for region's engineering and manufacturing industry

By

Last month saw Brinsworth Training Ltd celebrate the launch of its two new divisions, Education and Corporate Conferencing, and the official opening of its conferencing facilities by the Rt Hon David Blunkett MP. Since opening its doors in 1999, Brinsworth Training Ltd, based on Sheffield Road, Rotherham, has grown significantly and is recognised as a South Yorkshire's leading engineering and manufacturing training provider. To keep pace with the increasing demand for their workforce training solutions and apprenticeship programmes Brinsworth Training Ltd has doubled its workforce and has invested over £500,000 in the renovation and expansion of their existing workshop and training facilities during the past year. As a National Centre of Vocational excellence they provide training solutions on behalf of over 300 local companies and train apprentices on behalf of South Yorkshire's Learning & Skills Council, RWE Npower, National Grid, Royal Mail and Metskill. Their new Education Division offers Sheffield and Rotherham's 14 - 16 year old secondary school pupils the opportunity to experience working within the engineering and manufacturing sector, whilst working towards a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), and from September, the new Engineering Diploma.
