News: Rotherham regenerator picks up property award

By

Earlier this month, Mel Burrell, managing director of St Paul's Developments, was named South Yorkshire Property Personality of the Year at Insider's South Yorkshire Property Gala Dinner. Burrell founded his company in 1990 after a career in local government and St. Paul's has played a massive part in regenerating Rotherham with developments such as Cortonwood and Brookfields Park in the Dearne Valley and offices at Phoenix Riverside in Templeborough. St. Paul's are also nearing completion of the NHS Rotherham Community Health Centre in the town centre. Mr Burrell told The Star: "Even though this award was presented to me personally it's really a reflection of the work achieved by St. Paul's Developments since the company was formed in 1990."Both St Paul's and I are committed to the prosperity of Sheffield and South Yorkshire as a whole and I believe this way of thinking has contributed to the presentation tonight." Guests at the event managed to raise around £4,000 for Cash for Kids, the new name for local children’s charity Help a Hallam Child.
