News: Rotherham safety management specialist exceeds turnover target

By

A Rotherham-based safety management specialist has exceeded its 2008 target turnover of more than half a million pounds, thanks to securing significant national contracts. Environ Safety Management Ltd has seen its turnover reach £530,000 following a year of massive growth, exceeding last year's turnover of £350,000 and predictions of £520,000. After starting life as a one-man business and a service for parent company Horbury Group in 2004, Environ has expanded to employ seven full-time consultants working primarily in the construction, engineering and manufacturing industries. Environ operates to identify health and safety and environmental issues for industry and offers advice to companies complying with an ever-growing portfolio of health, safety and environmental regulations, and is now a niche provider of these services. Paul Alvey, Director of Environ, said: "As our services started to attract interest from external organisations we took on contracts to audit, consult and train for health and safety practices. Our specialisation is to offer a cost effective tailored solution to companies by evaluating their operations and recognising risks. "We recently secured a contract with London Drywall, who completed a £2 million drywall & firestopping package as part of the fit-out of the St Pancras International Station for Eurostar."
