News: National recognition for Rotherham repair specialists


Rotherham based repair service Domestic Appliance Repairs (DAR) is celebrating after coming third in the whole of the UK in the 2008 Total Excellence and Quality (TEQ) Awards, a nationwide award recognising the best in customer care. With an impressive seven wins since the TEQ Awards were launched in 1997, DAR have consistently been highlighted as repairers who provide outstanding customer service. The awards are administered by Domestic & General, the domestic service plan specialists, and are based on the feedback from over 400,000 questionnaires sent out after a repair. Run by the husband and wife team of Kevin and Bridie Heath, DAR, who have a service team of 4 field service engineers from their Rawmarsh base, provides kitchen appliance repair services across South Yorkshire. Bridie Heath said: "Coming in the top three domestic appliance repair companies in the UK seven times since 2001 is something we are very proud of. It reflects the efforts put in by our engineers and our administration staff but I would like to take time to thank the customers who took the time to fill out the questionnaires which ultimately results in the accurate scoring of the TEQ award, ensuring our efforts were recognised."
