News: Successful open day at ITC

By

The Innovation Technology Centre (ITC) located on the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham has held a successful open day. The event attracted visitors from the business community across the region who were given the opportunity to view South Yorkshire’s only business incubator for manufacturing, engineering and materials technology companies as well as to network and build new contacts. Visitors enjoyed tours of the Centre which provides 27,000 sq ft of office and workshop space on flexible terms for up to 20 start-up companies and is managed by Oxford Innovation, the UK’s leading operator of innovation centres. Owned by Yorkshire Forward, the environmentally efficient building also played host to exhibitions from resident client companies, other businesses and organisations on the Advanced Manufacturing Park and partner organisations such as Renaissance South Yorkshire. Ross Banerjee, Project and Incubation Director at the ITC, said: "We wanted to open our doors and give regional businesses the chance to come and have a look round the facilities and to see the excellent work that is being produced by our client companies. We were delighted with the success of the event - the day has generated new enquiries for our office and workshop space and a couple of our client companies have also received orders for new work after meeting new contacts at the event." Caterers, PJ Taste, opened the ITC cafĂ© this week.
