News: Training provider completes prestige office lettings in Rotherham

By

A specialist training provider has taken a 7,000 sq ft office in Rotherham, completing a series of four top-specification lettings in the Moorgate area.

The lease is the latest letting at the £17 million Moorgate office complex, with Morthyng, a provider of crucial training opportunities for unemployed learners with additional learning needs taking all three-storeys of grade A offices at North Grove House.

The Sheffield office of Knight Frank acted as agents for the Horbury Group, a national construction specialist and former incumbent of North Grove House, following three other lettings at the site in recent months.

Tim Bottrill, partner at the Sheffield office of Knight Frank, said: "The Morthyng deal completes four sets of lettings at Moorgate, clearly reflecting the quality of accommodation.

"North Grove House was built and maintained to the very highest standards and this deal provides Morthyng with some of the best specification offices brought to market."

The offices are on a re-claimed site which used to house South Grove School and is one of Rotherham's most prestigious and striking commercial developments. The Horbury Group has built four office blocks on the site, coupled with 16 luxury apartments nearby, significantly lifting the economic potential of Moorgate.

Morthyng has three operational centres in Rotherham, employing more than 70 staff, including basic skills tutors, mentors and twenty staff who are responsible for preparing learners for employment.

Chris MacCormac, chief executive at Morthyng, said: "North Grove House is a perfect location for Morthyng and will be the headquarters of our administrative teams. This relocation will enable the management of our organisation to be carried out in a spacious and comfortable environment, in close proximity to our Rotherham operations."
