News: New signing for Chamber

By

Sheffield Wednesday Football Club have become the latest South Yorkshire sporting club to cement a relationship with Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.

The Owls have joined Barnsley, Rotherham United and Sheffield United in the Chamber's "football team" as they look to strengthen their business links across the region.

Sheffield Wednesday Commercial Manager Steve Coakley said: "We are delighted to link up with Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce as part of our goal of being a key player in the business sector across the region.

"The club already draws in a great deal of support from across the whole of South Yorkshire and, as Barnsley and Rotherham are both very vibrant with plenty of exciting developments and successful businesses, we wish to gain more of the positive relationships we currently enjoy with companies from the two towns."

Chamber Membership Services Manager Michele Taylor said: "We are very pleased to welcome Sheffield Wednesday to our "sporting team." We look forward to working closely with the club and aiding them in forging relationships with a range of companies across South Yorkshire."
