News: Polymer Techniques enter final development stage for specialist seals
Rotherham-based, Polymer Techniques is now entering the final stages of the development of its range of highly specialised sealing products.
The products will provide increased "uptime" to sectors of industry who suffer short service life (or even contamination) from conventional sealing materials.
Based in the Advanced Manufacturing Park Technology Centre in Rotherham, Polymer Techniques are pioneering bespoke production techniques and expect to bring its unique products to market this year.
A chemically inert composite of fluorinated plastic and a super-alloy will allow long term sealing at extremes of service temperatures even in the most challenging of environments.
Progressive sectors like semi-conductor, photo voltaic, aerospace, wind and nuclear energy are set to benefit from the products which can be used in valves, pumps, off-shore wind turbines and aircraft power units.
