News: Newburgh launches new manufacturing business

By

Newburgh Engineering, based in Rotherham, has established a separate company called Sizer Limited, after having acquired the Sizer name, which is renowned across the pelleting industry internationally.

Sizer Limited will manufacture its own bespoke pelleting machines under the famous Orbit brand, which originated in Hull back in the 1920s. Orbit pellet presses can be found across the world in a wide range of industries, including animal feed, food and drink processes, biomass and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF).

Nick Finch, technical director at Sizer, who has been involved with the pelleting industry for over 30 years, said: "All over the world, the Sizer name is known for producing high quality pelleting machines and we are very excited about operating under this renowned name to manufacture and repair Orbit and other machines here in South Yorkshire.

"It is fantastic to be able to build on this heritage, which goes back over 100 years, and strengthen our support for our existing animal feed customers while launching into exciting new markets with a tried and trusted brand.

"We think there are huge opportunities for us to grow our business both in the UK and internationally, based on our knowledge and expertise in the pelleting business."

Roger Pearson, managing director of Sizer, added: "We are looking to meet the demand for high quality pelleting machines in new markets such as biomass, waste and the recycling sectors. The realization that pelleted waste can be turned into various useful products has opened many doors."

"It is the technical expertise that counts and we have extensive knowledge within our team of all types of pelleting requirements to suit customer needs. And with the backing of parent company Newburgh, direct links to the very best in high precision engineering."
