News: Sizer success at Great Yorkshire Show

By

Rotherham pelleting company Sizer has been making good use of some of the 25 tonnes of manure produced every year at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, England's largest agricultural show.

Sizer Ltd, has demonstrated to some of the thousands of guests how their pelleting solutions can turn waste materials, such as manure, into a renewable energy source for businesses.

And as official sponsors of the show's "mucking out" points in the equestrian and livestock areas, Sizer had plenty of waste to work with.

Sizer engineers could be found in the "renewable energy area" of the show demonstrating how the Sizer S pelleting machine works, offering special discounts plus tips and advice for existing pelleting machine owners.

Roger Pearson, Managing Director of Sizer Ltd, said: "Our live pelleting demonstrations of turning dried horse manure into pellets went really well and attracted quite a crowd.

"Many businesses generate waste in a variety of forms and getting rid of it usually involved a cost to the environment. We want to encourage people to take a closer look at the benefits of pelleting.

"We hope that our presence at the Great Yorkshire Show inspired more businesses to get involved in pelleting and it was the perfect opportunity for people to consider what they can do with their waste materials. We have had a great deal of interest, particularly from farmers and equestrian centre owners."
