News: Hundreds sign up for Rotherham Means Business Event
Nearly 400 delegates have signed up to attend Rotherham Means Business 2011, the borough's first business and enterprise event.
The event is free to attend and takes place at Magna Science Adventure Centre on March 10. Delegates will hear from a range of inspirational and successful keynote speakers and take part in practical seminars which will offer appropriate business advice, support and tips to all attendees. Alongside this there will be many Business to Business, support and new and start-up business exhibition stands providing hands-on information and guidance to delegates.
Exhibitors include experts from Rotherham Investment & Development Office, The Junction, Voluntary Action Rotherham, Rotherham Youth Enterprise, The HMRC and the Being Better project.
Matthew Smith, Deputy Chair of Rotherham Enterprise Board, the organisers of the event, said: "In 2010 Rotherham was awarded the title of 2010 national winner of Enterprising Britain. This is a great achievement for Rotherham and Rotherham Means Business 2011 is an excellent opportunity to build on this accomplishment.
"The event will be a great day for Rotherham, offering up-and-coming entrepreneurs, early stage and established businesses inspiration, support and confidence to take their business ideas forward and turn them into a reality."
Rotherham Means Business is being organised by Rotherham Enterprise Board and Rotherham Council, sponsored by AESSeal Ltd, UK Steel Enterprise Ltd, The Source, Rotherham Work & Skills Board, and Business Link Yorkshire.
The project is part- financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
With just two weeks to go, delegate places and exhibition space is limited.
