News: Meet the buyer at Rotherham Means Business 2011

By

Buyers representing more than £250m in procurement spend will be at Rotherham Means Business 2011.

The Meet The Buyer event is being held alongside the borough's first business and enterprise show at Magna Science Adventure Centre on March 10.

Procurement experts from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, The NHS, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and South Yorkshire Police will be attending providing the opportunity for businesses to meet with and discuss opportunities with public sector buyers.

The Meet the Buyer seminar programme will offer delegates the chance to find out how to do business with the public sector and what future opportunities are coming up.

The Yorkshire Gold Business Club will be hosting an informative seminar designed to help companies access and make the most out of the opportunities linked to London 2012 and YORBuild will tell businesses how to get involved in the supply chain of the region's biggest construction and refurbishment framework agreement.

Councillor Ken Wyatt, Cabinet Member for Resources & Commissioning, said: "The event will be a fantastic opportunity for delegates to meet face to face with buyers who represent more than £250m procurement spend in the region and the chance to find out how to do business with the public sector, what future opportunities are coming up and a whole lot more. If you are looking to work with the public sector and expand your business this is one event not to be missed."
