Businesses in the region will be able to learn more about the funding options available during the lifecycle of their company, thanks to an event being run by the London Stock Exchange (LSE) at the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) in Rotherham.

"An Overview of the company funding ladder from an equity perspective" is aimed at fast-growing, entrepreneurial companies who are looking for a cash injection. It will provide an overview of the funding ladder from an equity perspective, and speakers will include experts from the Angel, Venture Capital and Stock Market community.

Barry Cunliffe the Chief Financial Officer of Sheffield-based and AIM quoted ITM Power plc will also provide real life experience of the pros and cons of the various forms of finance on offer.

ITM Power designs and manufactures Hydrogen energy systems for energy storage and clean fuel production. They were the first fuel cell company to be admitted to AIM.

Practical advice for SME's will also be offered through Early and Late stage panel discussions, supported by Barber Harrison & Platt, Hill Dickinson and Grant Thornton, which will provide an opportunity to explore in detail the key issues facing growing companies.

The event will cover flotation on the stock exchange and what investors look for. It takes place on Thursday December 1, from 8.30am – 2pm at the AMP Technology Centre.
