News: Heavenly Coffee Company drinks to success of customers

By

Rotherham's Heavenly Coffee Company, a leading supplier of beverages and equipment to tea and coffee shops, is celebrating with four of its customers on their recent successes in the national Beverage Standards Association (BSA) awards.

Katie Evans from Rotherham, established The Heavenly Coffee Company in Dinnington after her parents' family run beverage company Café Sienna was bought out.

The University of Nottingham History graduate set up alone in 2010 with the aim of giving customers the opportunity to choose from exotic beans originating from across the globe to make their own distinctive drinks.

Three of the Heavenly Coffee Company's customers have now been recognised by the awards, which are like the Michelin Stars of the beverage industry, for standards of quality, presentation and customer service.

High accolades went to The Snug Cake and Coffee House in Dronfield Woodhouse, which won "Four Cups", along with The Forge Tea Rooms in Brompton by Sawden in Scarborough, and Avanti Caffe in Heswall, on the Wirral.

The Bottle Kiln Cafe in West Hallam in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, which the Heavenly Coffee Company has supplied for four years, won the prestigious "Five Cups" rating - and is therefore classed as outstanding.

Katie Evans, managing director of the Heavenly Coffee Company (pictured at The Snug above, right), said: "It is fantastic news that so many of our customers have won these prestigious national awards. These café owners have worked hard to ensure that they can provide a great experience to customers and are serving beverages of the highest quality.

"The fact that so many of our cafés have won awards is also testament to the quality of our products and the continuous training we provide to our customers to enhance the overall customer experience."

The winning café owners were presented with their awards by Dame Kelly Holmes at a glittering ceremony held at Fulham Palace in London in October, which was also attended by Katie Evans from the Heavenly Coffee Company.

The company has its own office and warehouse complete with coffee machines and grinders to enable the quality beans to be used for espresso, cafettiere or filter coffee. It supplies not only its own heavenly blends of coffee and tea to customers, but also hot chocolate, biscuits, chocolates, sugars and barista equipment.

The company provides an ongoing training programme for owners and staff at the coffee and tea shops it supplies to ensure they can provide the greatest beverage experience possible.
