News: Rotherham health store relaunches

By

Rotherham-based health specialist, Vitalife, has re-branded its store in Rotherham town centre.

Based at RiDO's Fusion @ Magna business centre at Templeborough, the enterprise started life in 2010 in the niche industry of specialist teas. It has gone on to launch a new line of organic coconut oil and develop a range of vitamins and minerals that feature no artificial or highly processed bulking agents or fillers.

The growing brand purchased its first High Street store in 2013, following several years operating purely online and via resellers as a successful health food brand and retailer.

Vitalife Health became the first retailer in the town centre's Keppel Wharf development on the corner of Main Street and Market Street when it opened in 2013. The store opened with assistance from Rotherham Council's Business Vitality Grants scheme and has re-launched under the banner of the sister business – Love Health Hate Waste.

Gavin Edley, managing director Vitalife Ltd, who was named Rotherham's Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013, said: "We started Love Health Hate Waste in support of the government-backed WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) and their "Love Food Hate Waste" initiative.

"In order to stop health foods and supplements unnecessarily going to waste, we purchase Best Before expired goods from some of the biggest distributors and health brands in the UK (who would otherwise throw these away), and offer them to customers for up to 90% less than their standard sales price.

"Our business helps customers maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet, on a budget – giving some of the best health foods and supplements at drastically reduced prices and in return we're doing our bit to reduce unnecessary wastage."
