News: Rotherham printing premises open doors to local students
Students on the BTEC Art & Design course at Barnsley Academy became the first people to take part in a pilot scheme, aimed at encouraging youngsters to aspire to a career in the print industry. Students have visited smaller printers across the region including Rotherham-based Intoprint, before visiting the £60m Johnston Press facility at Dinninton. The initiative is a joint venture between Proskills, PrintYorkshire, Business Link South Yorkshire, Business and Education South Yorkshire and led by the South Yorkshire Employer Steering Group.
