News: Dinnington facililty boosts Johnston Press' figures
Johnston Press plc, one of the top 3 largest local newspaper publishers in the UK, and operator of more than 320 websites has published their latest financial results. In 2007, the company's external printing revenues were up 28% to £35m benefiting from a full year of operation at the £60m Dinnington facility in Rotherham. 2008 is expected to see challenging advertising markets but strong growth in digital activities and with the new presses in Dinnington and Portsmouth now fully operational, the group will benefit from increased contract print revenues. The new printing facilities are working well and have resulted in significant improvements in operating efficiency as well as generating the additional contract printing revenues, primarily from News International.
