News: SYPTE shortlisted again for national awards

By

South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) has been shortlisted for three awards in this year’s UK Bus Awards, which recognise best practice in public transport. SYPTE is no stranger to the UK Bus Awards, having picked up the runners-up prize in two of the same categories at last year’s ceremony. For the second year running, SYPTE has made the shortlist for the Halcrow Transport Authority of the Year Award and the Colin Buchanan Infrastructure Award. It is also in the running for the CBS Outdoor Marketing Campaign of the Year Award, for its innovative "Carbon Quids" campaign last autumn. The winners of the UK Bus Awards will be revealed on November 18 at Battersea Evolution in London. David Brown, Director General of SYPTE, said: “We are thrilled to have reached the finals for this year’s Awards and, of course, delighted that we are representing South Yorkshire in three separate categories."
