News: Award recognition for Rotherham's Signs Express

By

The Rotherham branch of Signs Express has received national recognition in the Sign Excellence Awards at this year's Signs Express Convention.

Steve and Carol Morris, owners of the branch at Templeborough were named as finalists in the Best Sign Project for their work with the Millennium Galleries.

The project included a rebrand of the museum and signage for a number of exhibitions including the only UK stop for the celebrated Vivien Westwood world tour and Treasures Exhibition which showcased priceless artefacts.

This involved the manufacture and installation of large wall vinyls, large mounted prints representing the displays, window graphics, exhibition displays and display case labels for the precious items. All of these items had to go through a colour matching procedure under the gallery lights to ensure the final printed colours were a good match.

Carol Morris said: Carol said: "We are thrilled to have been recognised for this award. It has been a busy few months for us and it's great to have our hard work and achievements celebrated by the group.

"We have established a great working relationship with Millennium Galleries and each exhibition has been challenging and exciting for us.

The work has been a fantastic opportunity for our team to showcase their design and manufacturing skills to the fullest and we are delighted that our graphics formed such a significant part of the exhibitions."
