News: Benzina's expertise reduces operating costs

By

Rotherham enterprise, Benzina has helped cold store operator Partner Logistics avoid feeling the chill of new site expenses - saving them thousands through their purchasing expertise.

Based in RiDO's Fusion @ Magna Business Centre, the facilities management company, installed new communications systems and a high voltage power supply for Partner Logistics, an automated warehouse and supply chain operator with premises in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire – and saved them £11,000 on their original proposal.

With its 197,000 square feet cold facility, the company provides warehouse services to clients in the food, retail and consumer goods sector and fresh frozen food giant Birds Eye is now operating from the site.

The UK company, which is part of a Dutch parent group, also provides warehouse services to organisations across the globe, with premises in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Russia.

Benzina, who work to reduce operating costs and help companies relocate without the stress, reviewed the most cost effective and efficient way to transfer voice and data between the UK and Holland.

Benzina installed three miles of cabling and provided essential market knowledge for the storage capacity, which will hold up to just over 91,000 palettes.

Matt Jackson, managing director at Benzina said: "We are thrilled to have been able to work with such a prestigious client in the cold store warehouse field, on a project of this scale.

"We provided Partner Logistics with vital advice and services which will help to contribute to the effective and economical running of the Wisbech facility and we are sure it will be a resounding success."
