Castings Technology International and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, two companies based at Rotherham's Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP), have been recognised for their collaboration with local businesses at Yorkshire Forward's ‘Innovators/08’ event. Doncaster based Pegler Limited have been shortlisted in the Collaborative Innovation Award category for the development of a central heating switch with the universities of Sheffield and Hull, Castings Technology International, Arrow Technologies and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. Over the past two years Peglers have developed fifteen new product ranges with the help of Cti's 3D computer-aided design and rapid prototyping and added approximately £1.2m of additional turnover to the business.
