RICS – The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has announced the shortlist for this year's Pro Yorkshire Awards and three landmark buildings in Rotherham make the list. Breathing Space, the £11m centre in Clifton for people with respiratory problems is nominated in the sustainability, community benefit and design and innovation categories. The imaginatively designed extension to Wickersley Northfield School (pictured) is also nominated in the design and innovation category with the improvements to the events space at tourist destination, Magna shortlisted in the commercial category. All projects were led by the Rotherham Construction Partnership which includes construction professionals from the council, external consultant partners and contractor partners. The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony on Friday 23 May, when more than 400 people are expected to attend the gala dinner at Leeds Town Hall.
