News: Rothbiz reaches 300 posts

Award-winning Rotherham website, http://www.rothbiz.co.uk/ has reached the milestone of 300 posted articles in a successful first six months of operating. Established in November with the aim of aggregating the positive news articles on businesses, the economy, commercial property and regeneration in Rotherham, the site won the coveted Innovation of the Year for 2007/2008 at the recent EDS Awards for the way it helps to keep Rotherham Council officers up to date with the latest news. Rothbiz creator, Tom Austen said: "To reach 300 posts in six months is fantastic, and testament to the success of the business sector in Rotherham. Plenty of people have told me that they never knew how much was going on in Rotherham and Rothbiz is another way of getting the message out there. "A big thanks should go the Rotherham Investment & Development Office (RiDO), the regeneration arm of the council, for their support." The site posts around 50 articles a month and has managed to attract over 3,000 visits and has a growing number of subscribers. The next few months could see Rothbiz articles published as part of an exciting new business magazine.
