News: Solaglas Windowcare invests in Rotherham

By

Emergency glazing repair and replacement company Solaglas Windowcare has announced it intends to replace its entire vehicle fleet, starting in Rotherham, as part of an ongoing expansion programme. Over the next three years, the Saint-Gobain-owned company will phase out its existing fleet of 130 vans, replacing it with new and fully-equipped vehicles – representing an investment of around £1m. The first batch of vehicles has already been delivered to the company’s headquarters near Rotherham in South Yorkshire. The vans feature the company’s new livery and are equipped with the latest racking, glass storage and installation equipment. Managing director, Ian Davy said: “It is essential for us to continually embrace new technology and upgrade our equipment as we seek to meet the growing demands or our clients. Having the best vehicle fleet in the market with highly-trained staff, meets our clients’ high expectations and means we are well placed to grow our business in other sectors.” Earlier this year, Solaglas Windowcare announced its plans to expand its business within the insurance services, commercial glazing, maintenance services and call management sectors.
