News: Flowerpot Kids hone their enterprise skills

Year 6 pupils at Catcliffe Junior and Infant School in Rotherham are showing great interest in their “Make £5 Blossom” project, run in conjunction with Parkgate Shopping and Rotherham Ready. Having launched their “Flowerpot Kids” plants business the team visited Homebase on Parkgate where one of the store’s team leaders, Mark Mold, was only too pleased to take the children behind the scenes and give them some very sound sales and marketing tips. “Although we have some good ideas already, this visit has spurred us on to even greater effort, and we cannot thank Mark enough for the advice and encouragement he gave us,” said class teacher, Stuart Knight.
