After a record number of entries, the Yorkshire Tourist Board has announced the finalists for the 2008 White Rose Awards. The centre has picked up an award at the last three ceremonies including twice winning the Business Tourism Award. The judges will now spend the next three months reviewing the businesses short listed and the winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony to be held at Bridlington Spa on 25th September 2008. Winners from the White Rose Awards 2008 will be put forward as Yorkshire’s nominations for the national Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2009. David Andrews, Chief Executive at Yorkshire Tourist Board, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the number and quality of entries this year and it has been very difficult to shortlist the finalists. The value of winning a prestigious White Rose Award is recognised by the region’s tourism businesses and we thank everyone that entered."
